About The Jaw Therapist

The Jaw Therapist is focused on developing solutions for people suffering from temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, or TMD. We proudly serve Asheville, NC and the surrounding regions. Research shows that the most effective and evidence-based management of TMD is physical therapy. The Jaw Therapist is the first and only clinic in Asheville and greater western North Carolina that focuses specifically on this population. With each session, patients will have one hour of one-on-one time with a doctor of physical therapy. This will allow for a comprehensive evaluation, constant assessment, and focused, adaptive care that will fit each individual’s needs. Our service will strive to ensure that every patient will reach his or her goals.

Brad is a wonderful, caring TMJ specialist that works with ones individual jaw issues and gets to your core solution. My results have been excellent! I would never drive 90 minutes each way to someone who doesn't deliver such great results and relieves much anxiety. I highly recommend Brad and his services/therapies!

Brad is an exceptional therapist. Expert knowledge combined with compassionate care and a relational approach. If you have neck pain or jaw issues, go directly to Brad. In just a few session, my range of motion was increased and jaw pain gone. I now know what to do to keep everything in good working order. I think he's a miracle worker.

I was having chronic tension headaches after decades of jaw clenching and whiplash-related problems that I'd never dealt with. Within one session of working with Brad and doing the exercises he gave me to do at home, they virtually went away completely. In 6 weeks of working with him I've had one or two headaches, whereas before working with him I was having at least one a week. I now have a toolbox of easy exercises to do to keep my muscles balanced and loose, and feel like my TMJ is a million times better. It's amazing. He's wonderful to work with, so knowledgable and supportive- I definitely recommend him!

So grateful to have found Dr Brad! After just one or 2 sessions my body has so much relief. I was dealing with pain in my upper back and neck and a jaw click for about a year. The simple exercise have alleviated do much pain and discomfort in just a couple of sessions. So happy to be pain free!!

Dr. Brad Basch was so helpful in alleviating chronic pain. He provided guidance, information, encouragement, and detailed exercises with a kind and thoughtful demeanor.
